Hi RA Group:
Bill here. I am 59 and have been living with RA since I was 16. I have been on many if not all of the biologics until getting the most relief from Rinvoq, which I have been on for 2 and half years. I also have, Sjogrens, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, scleroderma, and peripheral neuropathy for which I take several different medications (Lyrica, Evoxac, prolia injections, Arava, and prednisone). Serval of these conditions are directly related to my RA or long term use of medications. I would be happy to share my experiences regarding side effects. RA has been challenging over the years. Have a total right knee replacement and a screw to address a fracture on my right foot 5th metatarsal.
In addition, I have been challenged over the last few years with failed back surgery in 2020 and 2021 for which I journeyed to Rochester last July to have it revised. There are some implications of Osteoarthritis being responsible for some of the stenosis and herniation, so I only bring it up here in this RA forum for context.
As mentioned, I am happy to discuss any of my RA related experiences here.
Teri; I hope your temporal artery surgery went well!
Lobito thank you for sharing your story to one who is just starting the long road. 😁
Together we are better and that's really the truth!
