GI Disorder and Internal Shaking
Hi all. I'm a 21 year old South Asian female and I have been having GI issues for about five years--mainly along the lines of constipation. I do have bowel movements every day but it takes a long time & I am rarely fully cleared out. These GI issues are always accompanied by other health issues (gas, pressure in head, etc). Recently, some scary new conditions have manifested: In the past few weeks, there have been times where my heart starts beating wildly and very fast. Sometimes, when I'm tired and constipated, my entire body feels like its vibrating internally; the shakes aren't visible but it feels like all my muscles are quivering. At this point, I feel a constant shaking/quivering within my body, especially in my heart cavity.
I have had TWO EKG's and both came back normal. All lab tests for diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, etc came back within normal limits. I am very concerned about this internal shaking. My dad says he found something about how GI disorders can impact muscoskeletal system and since the heart is a muscle, it's contracting and being affected. But I wanted to know if anyone here can help!!!!!!! If anyone knows anything at all please please please let me know!!!!!

I am 24 years old and have been having nausea , occasional constipation for the last 3 years.
When I have very bad episodes of nausea it is usually at night time and then I will begin shivering. The shivering is not always visible noticeable but sometimes it is , especially in my legs.
I had a serous boarderline tumor removed off of my ovary 3 weeks ago. I honestly was relieved, thinking that my nausea symptom would go away, but so far it has not gotten better.
The nausea often wakes me at night, but since surgery nausea has no problem sneaking up during the day now, and anytime I eat.
It is very frustrating and causing emotional problems. Makes me feel crazy
I have the exact same symptoms as you. It’s such a relief to hear someone describe exactly what I feel on almost a daily basis.
I feel my nervous system took a huge hit after I had Covid. The stress in my life was/is high and the first very odd sensation I had that lead to these symptoms was a very severe migraine. Ever since that day, which was about a year ago, I’ve had these inner trembles which seem to stem from heart palpitations , along with lower abdominal pain, mostly constipation, brain fog and headaches.
I can’t get any solid answers out of my doctor or herbalist.
So I’ve chalked it up to more emotional and really working on mental health.
So I’m going to assume these symptoms are normal since no one has really discovered any real causes for concern?
I have internal
Shakes also. Almost like a fluttering. Not constipated, but IBS. You are way too young for this. Go vegan for awhile, eat a lot of fresh fruit and fresh veggies, no dairy. Try different diets to see if you can regulate.
Covid and everything associated with it did a number on the mental health of millions.
You are absolutely right.
I’ve never experienced anything like this in my body. And so many say they have not felt the same since Covid.
Thanks for your suggestion. I’m becoming way more mindful of what I eat. Cutting out extra sugars doesn’t stop it from happening, but seems to help. My husband is vegan and I learn a lot from him too. Thanks.
How long have you had internal shaking? How old are you?
I’m a young 75 and I’ve had the shakes for about 5 years, not on outside of body though, just inside. It’s so odd. Might have something to do with too many or not enough bowel action.
I feel it’s digestive related.
My doctor thinks it’s more anxiety. But it will happen even when I’m not anxious.
Had your doctor been able to tell you why this happens?
No they don’t know what it is. I’m not anxious by nature. I think it’s related to digestion also. It seems to be better now, I am eating more ( underweight) maybe that helps. Trying to eat clean and sleep!
