Thanks ! That is enormously helpful. I will start very slowly. These R-lipoic acid capsules are only 100mg each, but maybe that is good for adjusting what I need. Thanks for mentioning the chewing gum. Interesting about the magnesium. I — have high normal magnesium and now must drink only bottled water to avoid the high magnesium in home water. Still get cramps in muscles. Excited about trying the RLA !

I have not. I do not know what it is, but if you have had success with it for 10 years, it must be helping. Is that correct ? Is there a reason you want to stop taking it ?

I have been taking a B-complex + R-ALA for over a year now and it works wonders for me. The product I use is Nervive but there are a number of similar products on the market. Amount of R-ALA is important. I take 900mg per day. Small amounts didn’t help. Buy your products on Amazon not expensive. Good luck.
Thank you. I over paid for years and just recently followed your suggestion. I have a hard time telling if the vitamins are making a difference, but am reluctant to stop. Symptoms have been manageable for almost 12 years. Recently, it has moved up my leg.
I wonder if any supplement company is making a multiple B vitamin with a very low amount of B6 . I take a sublingual B12 for neuropathy but need to be very careful of B6 levels with my low functioning kidneys. Insurance companies no longer would pay for a prescription because they said it was available over the counter. — from eirrol
I have had neuropathy, mostly in my feet and a lesser amount in my legs and saddle area for 15 years due to an accident crushing my L3 disc. I have tried every drug and supplement out there and none of them have much effect. I hate taking the drugs and all make me slightly dizzy except cymbalta. The most effective combination of nutricetals I have come up with is 1000 mg fish oil capsules (I use Spring Valley Omega 3 - Walmart) with 600 mg alpha lipoic acid (Swanson vitamins) and 1000 mg Taurine (NOW Foods). All available at any vitamin store or website. This seems to take the edge off better than anything else. If anyone tries this please report back here with the results. The more people that post what works for them the better off we all are.

Everyone talks about taking and trying all kinds of stuff. But nothing can work unless it can get to the places they need. So, think Nitric Oxide first. That`s B-3, and in a good form. Nitric Oxide is the MOST important thing for anyone with NERVE problems. Hope this starts folks thinking and look forward to others thoughts. Just think Nitric Oxide first and you will be ahead with all other supplements. Thank you.
