For whoever takes a supplement for inflammation
My big problem now, after having had hip surgery, is that my knee is inflammed on the side. I GUESS I'll have to see a surgeon although I don't want an operation. This has been going on for many years because of a high school basketball injury AND the doctor at that time took out some or all (not sure) of the cartilage. So far most of the doctors I've seen rushed a visit with me, but simply said, "You need to have the knee replaced." I don't want to go through an operation like that now, I'm 79 and I am just getting over a hip replacement. Painful, but better than it was before, less pain. Thoughts, anyone? Thank you.

Thank you. I did look it up online. Many choices but I’d like to know what you use due to your having used. Thank you.
Here's where Mark orders the emu oil.
CLEARLY EMU

ULTRA CLEAR EMU OIL

He uses the ULTRA CLEAR product. I'm assuming it's the food grade and suitable for human consumption one. That's not terribly important for topical application I think but I'm just adding it because that's what he yes excellent results with for ankle and leg swelling and inflammation.
Here's the emu oil information requested.

My friend has had great results with the Ultra Clear product. I suspect it's food grade but I don't think that that's absolutely necessary for topical application. And places like Whole Foods and vitamin stores might carry a cold-pressed emu oil that you can find locally.
CDB oil comes in a salve as well .... a possibility
@callalloo thank you so much. I’ll look into it.
I use kinesiology tape…..it’s great….I get the big roll on amazon for cheap and cut it off in lengths that I need to strap on as outside ligaments for support. They stay on for days and there is even an adhesive spray to use first that holds it for more days!…..it’s a Godsend! Check it out!
Thank you for the reminder Terri - We often forget that there are other aids out there! I use kinesiology tape every day to support my worn-out wrist so I can keep doing what I love.

How can I learn to apply the tape?
There are many you tube videos from physical therapists etc. that show how to apply.
If you're getting PT, your PT therapist can probably show you.
Otherwise, here's a good list of all the parts of your body you can tape, and when you click the part you're interested in taping, there's a page with a video showing you how to tape.

It's easy to learn, and such a help for some extra support.
