Hello
In July I felt like something stuck in my throat and in my back it was very uncomfortable so I went to the Dr and he diagnosed me with GRED , I took the meds but it didn’t work .. after that the symptoms started to come and go
Suddenly I felt in so much pain I started vomiting so I went to another Dr he did endoscopy and colonoscopy and diagnosed me with Esophagitis and Ulcerative colitis and he put me on immunotherapy this was on august I started taking the meds for almost two months I didn’t get better I felt so tired and drained the trouble with something stuck in my throat was finally over but I started feeling like a burn sensation behind my breast bone sometimes the burning sensation goes to the breasts
I went back to the same Dr he did a chest X ray and he told me everything was fine it’s just a Chest Allergy but this sensation lasted for weeks finally I booked with a good Dr in my country and I had to wait for a month for the appointment in October I saw the new Dr and I described my symptoms to him he told me to stop all the medication and he described to me Dexilant and enemas the burning sensation was gone as soon as I stopped the meds , the feeling started again we switched meds for about three months in January the Dr decided to do endoscopy and colonoscopy again and he said it might be crohn disease and all this symptoms related to crohn , now I’m feeling that something stuck in my throat again and I also feel like a burning sensation in my chest , I’m really scared is it related to crohn ? I’m really tired I just want to feel good again please if you know anything answer me , ( sorry for my bad English)

Did the doctor tell you to change your diet? I'm not a doctor, but sounds to me like you have GERD, and that it's gotten so bad you've developed esophagitis.

You could try eliminating tomato, citrus, and fatty foods from your diet. Check the ingredients and nutrition label on everything you eat, especially meat and dairy products.

Best wishes that you find an answer soon,

Diet is important as well as stress.
Tap water no ice water
Do not eat large meals / heavy meals
Do not lie down after eating for a good hour
Eat your last meals again not heavy early way before retiring for the night
Try a wedge pillow to sleep on
Try gaviscon liquid
Find a good GI dr and one that cares

Hi shouqmagh - has your doctor tested you for gastroparesis? It is a study that takes about half a day in which you eat a meal with a tracer and then they measure how long it takes for food to exit your stomach. There are 2 methods - one that uses a scanner and one that uses breath collected in a tubes and then sent in for analysis (see Cairn Website for the latter). I am not a healthcare provider but had gastroparesis for more than 10 years and my symptoms are very similar to yours. I have seen great Improvement after stopping metformin under my healthcare provider's recommendation. It seems like your condition may also be related to medication as you described improvement after stopping. It is important to find a medical team that is dedicated to helping you find your optimum health. Please keep us posted. Wishing you good health!

Thank you everyone for all your comments

an allergy doctor can help and give some tests for a definite food allergy

Hello there.
Are you diabetic? That is the number one cause of gastroparesis, as I have been informed. I do not have this, but understand your frustration. pain and stress. I too suffer from GERD and have been on Protonix for a number of years. This drug has been helpful to me. Perhaps a food diary would be of help to you. I had to start one after being diagnosed with bile duct dilation, and was surprised at the number of foods that I like but can no longer tolerate. For example, no peanut butter, but almond butter. No dairy except Greek yogurt etc. I too was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, or rather microscopic colitis. I understand how awful this diagnosis can have an effect on you.
As for stress, have you tried deep breathing. I take klonopin when I need it for my anxiety, and it too has been very helpful to me.

I wish you luck in getting the care you need that will enable you to live a fuller life free of pain, stress and everything else. Our stomachs can often be the holder of all of our emotions/feelings, and naturally our stomachs get upset when we are under a great deal of stress, like you seem to be.

find an allergy dr that has good credentials next to his name, and plenty of good reviews, dealing with cases that resemble yours

After 3 endoscopies, put on high dose of Pepcid for 6 weeks, then a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) for 6 weeks, then again after GERD symptoms returned for 6 months before being told by my GI to stop taking it due to an endoscopy showing hypertrophic cells in my upper intestine. I was incredibly discouraged. No what? I asked myself, where do I go from here. Thankfully, on my own I decided to go gluten free, sugar free and dairy free while I searched for a doctor who could help me. After 2 weeks I started feeling better and then found a functional medicine doctor. She tested me and found I had SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth), a fungus, yeast infection and also gluten intolerant. With changes in my diet, supplements to treat these causes, meditation to help with anxiety, and regular exercise, I am healing. You can find functional medicine doctors in your state and city on the website:
ifm.org.
Wishing you the best.
