It's wondeeful that you have a local transplant center near your home. I was transplanted at Mayo, about 4 hours away. Cleveland Clinic has a transplant center only an hour away from my house. I wonder if I should call to see if it's possible to get an appointment with a transplant nephrologist there to use as my local nephrologist. Is that what you did?
(Also, when you can please share some of the things that you are learning from your new transplant nephrologist. I love to hear your comments like "more forthcoming" since it makes me think of a thoughtful and knowledgeable doctor that treats you like family). 😊
