My surgery was postponed yesterday because of an ice storm here. I have to wait 6 more days to get the 1st stage of the revision done. I am much more concerned now because this gives the staph infection time to spread. The pain is horrendous and I’m worried about losing this leg or going septic. 🙁

I’m so sorry your surgery was postponed! What an anxiety builder when you were all ready to get this over with. It might be a good idea to check in with that doctor’s office today and let them know of your concern for the staph infection and see if there is a possibility of getting the IV started beforehand. Just a thought…and certainly, if you develop an elevated temperature get in pronto! 🙂
