Hi, I just found out it's called Chondrodermatitis...caused by the pressure of the pillow on the ear. They found out there is a pillow, called "The original pillow with a hole", made in England. Cost $66 on Amazon. The ear fits nicely in that pillow hole, and will get rid of that horrific pain. Google "pillow with hole" and you can see videos how it works.
