Was on a regimen for prednisone for 12 days. Only made it to day 6 and had to stop suddenly from complications. Following the sudden stop I now have not slept in 4 days please help!

Hello @andrewcord, Welcome to Connect. I'm sorry to hear you haven't had any sleep for 4 days. That can be pretty awful in itself not to mention other complications you are having. Normally you have to taper off of prednisone very slowly to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Mayo Clinic has some information on the topic here:
-- Prednisone withdrawal: Why do I need to slowly taper down the dosage?

This is something you really should discuss with your doctor as soon as possible. How much prednisone were you on over the 12 day period? Did you take the same amount for all 12 days?

It was supposed to be a 4 days 30 mg, 4 days 20 mg then a 4 days 10 mg. I got half way thru before i started to experience adverse effects from the drug, mainly the severe insomnia something ive already been battling since i was a child . I was informed of withdrawal symptoms and told that the decision to not complete the regimen would be less harmful then if i continued the 12 day regimen. :Side bar i got an hour and a half of sleep last night maybe a light at the end of the tunnel!
