Experiencing spotting with no other UTI symptoms
About three days ago, I came down with symptoms of a UTI that almost disappeared the next day. I was going to see a doctor about my symptoms but all of them had cleared up by the time my urgent care office opened again.
However, I am seeing blood when I wipe. This happens to coincide with the week of my period so I’m not sure if the blood is a result of my UTI or my period that is set to start the next day. I feel as if I’m worrying over a small thing but just would like a second opinion. Is this worth a doctor’s visit?

Hi @am01 It’s interesting that you felt like a UTI was happening but didn’t get worse. Usually they blossom into a world of nastiness. However, it is possible to have a UTI without the burning, urgency to urinate and bleeding. Considering you’re still having a little blood when you wipe, it might be worth getting a urine test, just to make sure…and for your peace of mind.
If you do get your period, that makes it a little difficult for a ‘clean catch’ with the urine sample. But if you could wear a tampon for the appointment that helps.
Do you usually spot days before your period?
