Yes. I am 65 and was diagnosed with Chromopbobe Renal Cell Carcinoma with Eosinophilic Features. I had cryoablation on 11/11/22 and am now under Active Surveillance."

I am trying to understand all of this in patient language. Thank you so much. If you have any other info, I would appreciate it.

This is hard and sometimes scary.

@cindysummitt Here, I found an article this morning from verywellhealth.com, written by a medical writer and reviewed by an oncologist. It would be a good idea to get information from your medical team, on what stage they consider you to be in. As you will read, it can be a highly curable condition.

Yes, it's hard to have any diagnosis that changes up your life. Were you experiencing strange symptoms that led to testing? Like many of us, finding out we have a kidney issue comes as a surprise. Our body adapts to everyday life with mounting kidney issues, and it can be so subtle we don't take notice until we look back. Remember, we are a big virtual support group here! As you wander through discussion in the "Cancer" and "Cancer-managing symptoms" and even "Just want to talk" support groups, you will find other members who struggle with new health conditions. Check with your medical center to talk to a social worker there. Who is your support team close to you, family and friends? Hoping they are open to you sharing your concerns. And I'm here!
