Good morning!
Hi Nemo!
I'm also supposed to consider getting that test, and I have concerns, too.
Please, if anybody is out there with experience, give us some info/guidance?
Thanks, in advance!

Hi Anne!

Thank you for your response!

I had the procedure on the 31st. At the hospital while being prepped for OR/procedure the anesthesiologist recommended I have general anesthesia because the table would be tilted and his concerns were that acid reflux would back up and end up causing me to aspirate. I agreed. Well. When I was in the OR the last thing I remember was seeing the room and as soon as my arm was placed on the moveable arm I was OUT. The short of it was I arrived in early afternoon and didn’t leave until out of recovery which was about 4pm. My dr said it would take about two weeks for the biopsy to come in. So its a wait and see. I had no complications and I only bled right after and then a little 1.5 days after and now no more spotting. That takes care of the bleeding. The problem I’ve been having is a reaction to the general anesthesia. I started to have thigh pain, thought it might just be from the positioning on the table but then the pain went all over, legs upper hamstrings and thighs, calves fore arms, shoulders, abdominals, under ribs. I’m miserable. Its been constant pain through 1000mg tylenol, 600 mg advil and cyclobenzeprine 10 mg. (For the spasms I get) NOTHING is helping this generalized pain. I’m pretty much confined to bed because it is almost impossible to get up from a seated position. The love of my life, had to help me partially get changed and make sure I didn’t fall when I moved. Its been nuts. I called the hospital. They couldn’t get in touch with an anesthesiologist at the time of my call, but nurse said to keep taking tylenol and advil (even when they dont seem to help). She said to keep well hydrated. Flush it out. She said that anesthesia can cause muscle pain. To call today a little earlier and speak to anesthesiologist. She said 24-48 hours I should be s feeling better. I’m still hurting pretty bad from this. I hope it leaves me soon. My mom read something about pre-treating before some anesthesia’s to reduce side effects. I was not pre treated with anything. So thats about it. The biopsy is now a wait and see and this pain I hope will flush out in a few hours. I don’t know what else to do with this all over pain. Thanks for writing.
