Anyone had Zometa alone or Zometa plus Xgeva?

I was on xgeva for 6 years. Caused me to have osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ). It is a side effect from the medication. Several doctors have told me they would not keep a patient on Xgeva for more than 2 years. ONJ is a very serious disease and can cause the jaw to deteriorate and break. I have not gone through the repair process as it is a very long term and serious procedure.

@wandering my wife was on it for 3yrs and had same thing! had to remove part of her jaw bone and teeth - she was so upset - on liquid diet for almost year and lost a lot of weight - she back to eating somewhat solid foods again but never the same - don't see where the benefits outweighed the ONJ
