Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?
I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

I a 71 male that inherited neuropathy from my Dad and am not diabetic. Can anyone recommend insoles that help relieve the constant burning in the balls of my feet when I walk?

I have been buying Sketchers shoes of various styles because they offered some support while feeling cushy for the bottom of my feet. I recently took a chance and bought some of what I consider spendy shoes (~$150) for a pair of Xero boots which are similar to walking barefoot since the soles are flat. I really like that I can feel my feet on the ground which is a little new for me so I have to learn to walk again with them but the toes are roomy and they definitely are higher quality made in the USA.
I have found that keeping the skin on my feet from drying out helps a lot. Do you put a moisturizer or lotion on your feet?
@pjs52 I have several types and brands of shoes that I wear, Teva the most. I found that moisturizing with cerave with hyrolonic acid works the best. I also give myself a foot massage at night ( after I do my Happy Feet foot yoga). I do put the moisturizer on in the morning and give my feet a quick workout before I take my Berners out into the world, and walk a couple miles. For me socks have made all the difference. The smoother the better. With my neuropathy, I do not want to aggravate, and socks that have a cushy sole, constantly stimulate a nerve that does not know how to turn it self out. Happy nerves=Happy feet.
Does anyone feel their feet are freezing, yet warm to the touch?
Yes, I frequently feel like my feet are freezing cold, but when I touch them, they're perfectly warm. I also frequently feel like they're dry or as if I have socks on, but they're moist and socks aren't on.
Have you seen a Doctor? I don't know if I should see a Podiatrist or a Neurologist for this.
I talked to my neurosurgeon and my vascular surgeon about it, and they both said to see a neurologist. Wouldn't hurt to book appointments with both a podiatrist and a neurologist until you know what's causing it.
Hey
I still haven't found anything that helped... 🙁
But, has any of you tried these??

Hello,

🐾 I have been wearing this shoe/boot for several months and it is great. I love wearing them on my daily walks. I also got the widest size, 2E. They have 3 widths. They also come with an extra arch support and 2 insert spacers, I use all three in my shoe. I used to get a cramp in my middle toe when I walked and sometimes it hurt so bad I had to hobble. No cramps with this shoe.
I also buy bamboo socks from this site, love them.
They have just come out with a waterproof type of shoe/boot in this style.
Good luck on your shoe hunting! 🐾
Crocs. The “ugly” Crocs are incredibly comfortable and they have arch support. And they come in fashionable colors including tie dye, animal print etc.
I buy them on Amazon…
