Diet for Bone Health - Acid vs Alkaline vs Calcium/D
Everything I've read re bone health states you need calcium (and vitamin D to absorb the calcium) as well as a diet high in alkaline foods (that allow the absorption of other vitamins/minerals) for the bone remodeling process. Have you read the same? What diet are you following?

If you get your calcium from red algae sources it is absorbed without causing deposits. I take Alive Bone Support which has Vit K2, D, strontium, calcium and magnesium and plants blends. The calcium is aquamin calcified mineral red algae. the tablets are rather large.
I'm interested in "If you get your calcium from red algae sources it is absorbed without causing deposits." Can you point to a scientific study that confirms this?
Sue
It is only a hypothesis since the calcium comes from plant sources. I haven't been able to find a scientific study to confirm this. Sorry!!
Thank you. My concern with red algae calcium is that there is also no way to determine that the source algae, which is collected on shorelines, is not contaminated by the water or debris on the beach.

Does the algae contain any oxalates that would prevent the body from absorbing much of it? That is the case with spinach. Since the tablets are rather large, have people who take them experienced any short term side effects, such as constipation?
I have not had any constipation from these pills and I have a tendency to constipation
Hi Teb, Leeosteo here again (:>). What is the difference between regular tahini vs black tahini? Stronger flavor?
yes, stronger flavor and higher calcium content from what I can see.
