Good news ! Actemra working for me

I tried all and predesone was the help for my inflammation..I stopped methotrexate for a short time while using Actemra but pain returned..so now weekly injection of Actemra and 20 ml of methotrexate seems to hold it. After spending days in hospital with excruciating pain now finally am sort of back to normal. In Australia you need to be 6 months on predesone and methotrexate before you are allowed biological.

Yes ... Actemra was more like the last resort for me. I'm not sure what I would have done if it hadn't worked so well. I just assumed that I would need prednisone for the rest of my life.

I have now been off prednisone for over 3 years except for a couple of times when Actemra was stopped. In addition to PMR, I have inflammatory arthritis but not RA.

I'm always happy when Actemra works for someone else.
