Hello @sheilarob116, Welcome to Connect. Your story sounds a lot like mine which started close to 30 years ago in my late 40s. I posted my story in another discussion here - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/comment/310341/. The best thing you can do for yourself is to learn as much as you can about your condition and what treatments are available to help relieve any symptoms that might popup.

Here are a few sites if you want to learn more about neuropathy:
-- Neuropathy Commons: https://neuropathycommons.org/
-- Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy: https://www.foundationforpn.org/understanding-peripheral-neuropathy/

Do you plan to setup an appointment with a neurologist to get a diagnosis?

Had not thought about appointment with neurologist, my GP didnt seem to interested and did not even want to see me when I told him, and he is in Kingsville, ON, and we have moved to Chatham which is over an hour away and have not found a doctor here yet.....will follow up on sites you gave me & thank you for your response..

Thanks for links. I went to the neuropathy commons site and read about Nerve Ultrasound.
It sounds like a procedure that may lead to a more precise diagnosis in addition to the conventional EMG test.
Does anybody know who performs nerve ultrasound tests? The only high-definition ultra sound equipment I could find in Mpls MN is Fairview Clinic. I would think Mayo in Rochester should do this??
Thanks again
