SPR Peripheral Nerve Stimulator (SPRINT)
Hi everyone! The Sprint implant was recently recommended my son (17 years old) who suffers from severe pain on the bottoms of both feet from his SFN. Has anyone ever tried this device? It’s only “implanted” for 60 days so it sounds like an interesting concept but hesitant since the DRG implant was ineffective for him. Thank you so much for any insight anyone may have! Have a great day!

I wish someone could give me specifics about how to use the Sprint PNS. I have sitational pain, primarily when I am standing or walking (slowly). I am regularly able to play pickleball for moderate periods of time, although the pain (when standing and walking) normally presents itself quicker and more intensely after exercising. Sitting or lying down usually relieves the pain.
I have the two lead system inplanted near the point where my siatic nerve passes through the piriformis. My doctor advised me to use it 24/7 for 60 days, but how to use it was a little unclear. Should I be feeling the stimulation alll the time. I can do that, but comfortable levels in one position, becomes "shocking" when i move my leg to a ddifferent positionor put weight on it? If I am experiencing pain, do I increase the stimulation level , which can lead to pain plus more "pain"? I have a light and dark lead. Is it just a trial and error process to figure out which one to increase or decrease? With situatiional pain, it couldl take 60 days just to figure this out. II received little guidance about how to determine a plan.
Can anyone help me. I go back to my pain management doctor this week.
Can you tell me more about SPRINT PNS. I would be interested in trying. I am getting desperate.
I am not sure. I have a trial Pudendal Nerve Stimulator
Currently. I have an appointment on Monday to take it out and am afraid the relief will not be there any more. Some days are better than others. I do take the battery off every day when I exercise.
These are all questions that should be answered by your Sprint rep. My rep gave me his cel phone and told me to call him or text anytime of the day.
Does a pain management specialist do the SPRINT implant? I can’t seem to find anyone who does this in my state.
