I have seen the same with my father and my mother in law. My dad had to receive 2 units of blood back in September. My mother in law is now anemic since getting both of the Moderna vaccine's. If you look at her bloodwork prior to them she had no issues. I would wait until his numbers are back to normal.
Retnav36,
I don’t have a specific answer for your post covid dilemma. However, your frustration and trust concerns are real. As it relates to the current Covid situation I am afraid patience is going to be required and a strong push to keep finding answers on your own.
After seeing 5 different doctors I have finally found one that is knowledgeable about my symptoms and open minded enough to treat not only individual symptoms but all of them as a whole.
Remember not one person or entity is the sole repository of knowledge so keep looking.
Your answers are out there and you are your own best health care advocate.
I wish you all the best.
I cannot believe what I am reading about how vaccines have affected blood & iron…I have had 4 blood transfusions & 2 Iron infusions in 5 months.I have been tested for bleeds which have shown nothing.never in my life have I had anything like this.I have been hospitalised twice this year because bloods were dangerously low.I am currently waiting on more results for bloods.coming across this site has given me an insight to what could have possibly caused this.
linray, I am sorry you are going through this.
Given your current circumstances I would recommend finding an open minded primary care doctor that is current on post covid or long covid issues.
On thing to remember is that the shot you received is not technically a vaccine and was rushed to market for very political reasons. Pfizer, only now, is openly admitting that it did not due full testing. This was known by the CDC and “leading” doctors and scientists but not openly shared.
In fact the governments stance is changing on things like ivermectin.
The reason I bring these cases up is not to say all healthcare professionals are uncaring or bad. But,rather, to recognize that the medical community is just as diverse as any large population. If your current doc isn’t staying current on the rapidly changing knowledge around long covid or chooses to not believe that horrible mistakes were made and bad “science “ occurred early on, due to political pressure, then find one that is more open minded.
It’s my experience that doctors with private practice are far less influenced by pressures from an administration structure.
Keep looking and best wishes.

- Understanding How COVID-19 Vaccines Work https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/different-vaccines/how-they-work.html
"Currently, there are three main types of COVID-19 vaccines that are approved or authorized for use in the United States: mRNA, viral vector, and protein subunit. Each type of vaccine prompts our bodies to recognize and help protect us from the virus that causes COVID-19.
mRNA vaccines use mRNA created in a laboratory to teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies.
Researchers have been studying and working with mRNA vaccines for decades."
Your information about vaccines is inaccurate. The type of vaccines, RNA have been studied for 20 years. The majority of those who received the vaccines from Pfizer and Maderna have tolerated them. They were meant to help avoid hospitalization and or death which is what they are doing. All information is public on the NIH site for anyone to report any injury or significant side effect from the vaccines.
Let me start by saying I am not an anti vaxer and I agree with your comments at a general level. However, that does not provide the broader context that is,I believe, important to finding answers to one’s health related questions.
I am not sure that you really read my post with the goal of understanding what I am saying. The actions of governmental health agency’s has not been a holistic approach to treating Americans in a way that serves us best. One does not have to look very hard to find an almost endless set of examples where those public agencies were communicating directives that were suboptimal. Masking and efficacy of boosters are just a couple of examples.
Having worked in healthcare for a long time doing work for the BoD’s in a hospital chain with over 250,000 folks focused on care delivery I would suggest that your comments, again, do not communicate the full, current and accurate data driven context for dealing with finding answers to a persons healthcare questions.
To the poster I replied to…. My answer to your concerns remains the same. You are always your own best healthcare advocate. Go find the answers and remember that healthcare folks are just like any other big group. Some care, some don’t, some stay current some don’t, etc.
You deserve the best care and that may not come from some large monolithic public health agency. Keep looking for answers…. You are worth it.
