You are so wonderful, thank you for your encouragement. He has been in-patient there for almost a week. But has been receiving tests for 2 weeks there. His kidneys are now having issues too. He frequently is disoriented so I will call the concierge service. I'm trying to wait to tell my parents things until I have firm solutions.

Dana, I was there - where your brother is: in the hospital at Mayo for 2 weeks after being transferred from ICU in Kentucky. Tell him and your parents that I am holding him in my thoughts as he finishes his tests, and I hope that he is able to be listed for a transplant.
Your parents must be beyond worried and confused by all of the medical terminology. It is not easy on the patient or the family. I can honestly say that he is in the best possible place right now.
