Benefiber will bulk up stool while Miralax will soften it by drawing water into the intestines. I'd check with your Dr, but seems like they'd work together.
What else have you tries to relieve constipation? Has anything worked?
Magnesium powder in juice or water. You will go in 15 minutes. 1/2 teaspoon. If you don't go, take a little more. Can't hurt you.
10 minutes on exercize bike after breakfast and benrfiber, coffee to increase metabolusm; adding orune juice, trying to adhere to daily schedule for Benefiber, increasing water intake— all so far without Miralax. .. which has created intense gas in past. Not a benign product whatever is said
What is working for me is one dose of Miralax daily, spaced a couple hours between servings of Citrucel or psyllium fiber. Previously I was also taking 4 oz of prune juice in the morning, but stopped because of it's high sugar content. These steps were at the recommendation of my G.I. Dr. He also said Citrucel would produce less gas than psyllium.
To all who replied, thank you!
Triphala… great product used thousands of years in Ayurvedic “ medicine”. Capsule Consists of three berries , not weird… movement very natural and product is becoming pretty mainstream… my moms cardio approved when she struggled in rehab after a stroke and really helped her. There are no known side effects. I’ve been using for 10 years when I travel. Worth a try! Can get organic brands online or in Whole Foods.
Which brand of Triphala are you currently using ?
Heavy metals is an issue in some herbs. It is hard to find a brand that is certified by a food and drug or usda standard. What do you guys think?
Many many thanks!
I subscribe to Consumer Lab. They test many vitamins and supplements for metals etc.
