Does anyone find that a type of shoe helps your foot neuropathy?

I am on a constant quest for shoes that don't kill my feet due to the neuropathy. I find that Spencos and Wolky shoes seem the best. Are there any other suggestions? Shoes can be just crippling for me. Horrid.

Expensive, but worth it.

Buy socks first. Try shoes on with Thorlo socks. Socks are padded and you may need to buy shoe one half size larger.

I’m with you on the Thorlo socks. They put the extra padding in the parts my feet need them most!

I have ordered bought and returned so many shoes including Orthofeet, Horkas, Skeetchers. When ordering toebox width is seldom available so I have to return another pair. Am currently wearing New Balance which I’ve worn for cpl years. My problem is I need WIDE toebox. Everything squeezes my bilateral PN and causes freezing/burning cold pain. I’ve even tried men’s hoping…but if they are wide enough then they are too big. Often just wear my Rock Dove slippers but rather not drive in them. Anybody know of WIDE toe box shoe that won’t break the bank? Appreciate suggestions.

You could try Rocket Dog shoes. I purchased a pair because of a cute floral print. However, I don't wear them because of the wide toe box. Like many other reviewers I think they look like clown shoes. (No offense to clowns). These might work for you and are mostly between $30-$60. They come in styles from sandals, sneakers, shoes to boots. https://www.rocketdog.com/

Hoka
I had a fall and broke 3 bones in my right foot
Podiatrist suggested Hoka’s and I went from walking cast into this shoe. He was wearing them as well

At 77 I don’t care
Now HOKAS are favorites of daughter and son in law-expensive tho

I feel like Gravity Defyer shoes have the widest toe box I have found. I always buy wide width and they take returns if still in new condition. Best of luck finding comfort.

I can hardly stand to wear shoes and walk around my house in socks. When I have to wear shoes I have some semi-expensive well made shoes from Anodyne and I purchased innersoles from Orthofeet. I wear shoes a wider size than ordinarily because my feet are so sensitive to any pressure. The Orthofeet insole seems to have more cusioning. I am getting ready to order a new set of insoles hoping that this will alleviate some of the increased pain that I am feeling. I would give anything to be able to wear even a soft slipper. Nothing I have tried so far in a shoe is painless.

I tried not every shoe under the sun and nothing works. The only relief I have gotten is to wear flip flops which is the old-fashioned name for thongs . Makes it very difficult during winter time though.
