Getting nervous. What should I expect the first few days after surgery?

I can surely understand your wanting to know what to expect after your esophagectomy. We have several members who have discussed their post-surgery experience in a discussion on Connect. I would like to invite some members from that group to share their experiences with you like @puprluvr @karly @nowayback @trudivo, and @angelag. These members have all posted in the esophagectomy surgery discussion.

I'm wondering if your doctor has explained the extent of the surgery you are having. Has he given you any timelines for your recovery as far as eating, etc.?

I go to Indy on Wednesday to do that.

Linda, what was the pre-op like? I bet other members who are getting ready for their pre-op would like to know what it is like.
