Instead of a tranquilizer type med, how about a 24/7 med like Effexor, for Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It has a great track record and been around for decades. I’ve been on it for 35 years and it is a God send for GAD which runs in my family. Which is thought now to be a precursor for Parkinsons, which is also in my family. My adult kids are both on Effexor as well . They have had panic attacks as have I and as did my mom. This is a Genetic disorder not given enough press, and the best med for it is Effexor. I take two 75 time released a day with a AS Needed extra on the script for really stressful times.
