Every day I cough up what looks like a scab with ugly mucous and blood

I have this same thing. I recently had Septoplasty and sinus surgery and now for 3 months after, every couple days A glob like this comes from my throat. My ENT looked today with scope. Said she stumped and do saline flushes daily. To me, thats not an answer. I never had sinus issues ever!! I work in hospital and wear mask everyday… I just wonder if thats the cause. Its gross and irritating.

This is due to your surgery.
What sinuses did you have opened?

This is a common-not discussed side effect of these surgeries. It’s nothing you are coming in contact with.

What was your indication for the Septoplasty and Sinus surgery?
