My oncologist made the similar comment to me yesterday.. My next dose is due in February. He said we'll see where things are at that point.

I got Evusheld in October and got Covid a week ago. The team at Mayo set me up for Remdesivir instead of the monoclonal antibodies because they were seeing no improvement with antibodies recently. Just switched the protocol 2 weeks ago. I’m feeling better now. I had been so careful for so long that I couldn’t believe I got it! Just down for about a week and I seem to be on the mend now. Hopefully this will be a one and done experience!
Mayo wants me to take Evusheld every 6 months. So Mayo sent me a reminder message. After my PCP team found the correct forms for those ummune suppressed a local hospital's infusion center just gave me my second round. My county is having a surge in COVID cases.
Thank you @mollyv for the very helpful details about the Remdesivir treatment! I always like to have a heads up about what to expect. 😊
Other than covid, how are things going with your kidney transplant? I love to hear when someone is 11 years post kidney transplant! I am two years post kidney transplant (deceased donor) and currently waiting for my BK virus to resolve. Things are going very well for me with just a couple hiccups like CMV and BK. My kidney function is good so I am thrilled. ❤
@hello1234 I was told by my transplant team that Evusheld has not shown effectiveness against the current variants so there is no reason to get it now so that would agree with what you read.
We do have to continually be careful. I still wear a mask when out at stores or anyplace but going to family gatherings over the holidays will present a different problem, particularly since they generally involve eating.

Although I am not a scientist or a researcher, I am aware that the Covid19 - SARS is known to be constantly changing. I am not surprised or shocked to hear this update.
- Update [10/3/2022] FDA added important information to the authorized Fact Sheets for Evusheld (tixagevimab co-packaged with cilgavimab) to inform health care providers and individuals receiving Evusheld of the increased risk for developing COVID-19 when exposed to variants of SARS-CoV-2 that are not neutralized by Evusheld.
Here is the link to the FDA site, so you can read the latest update
