Muscles misery post covid

Posted by pixiekitty @pixiekitty, Nov 21, 2022

It's been two year since I has covid. During the ten days, I only had fever for a few hours. Day 25 I had asthmatic bronchitis for three weeks. Then, I needed oxygen due to low O2 state of 82 to 88. Then, Euglycemic Diabetic Keto acidosis. Since that day my muscles have twitched, cramped, hurt and feel like they are coming off my skeletal frame. Anyone else? Still on oxygen two years later.

Hello @pixiekitty, welcome to Connect. It must be very difficult to feel post-COVID symptoms this far down the road. 2 years is a while. You are not alone and while no one has responded yet, be certain that many are fighting chronic issues. I've experience muscle twitching and cramping and it's no fun at all! How are you getting through those flares? Distraction helps me. What do you have as distraction? Perhaps a funny movie, talking to a friend or cuddling with a pet?

I’m 1 year post Covid and being evaluated for a double lung transplant. Lost almost all muscle in the hospital for 2 months. I have bad cramps, mostly in my legs. I find that stretching is the only thing making them more tolerable. I do the old school stretching while sitting and standing, for at least 30 minutes as often as I need to, which is usually 3 times a day. I also have my feet up most of the day and I flex and relax my foot so my calf muscles get extra stretching all day long whenever I feel the hurt. This allows me to walk better as well. I hope you can find some relief!
