Yes I have mentioned to my doctor about wanting to be seen. My symptoms have been going on since July. I've had 5 inpatient stays, several ER visits, and have had some GI consultation at Cleveland Clinic. I just feel Mayo Clinic may be best for me. When I have mentioned it to my doctor she has said to do the self referral.

I'm glad your doctors are on board with you referring to Mayo Clinic. That certainly is a lot of ER visits and inpatient stays since July. What are your doctors telling you thus far? Are they stumped by your symptoms? Do you not feel Cleveland Clinic is qualified to diagnose properly?

When I had chronic symptoms for a few years, and no one was able to properly diagnose, I did a lot of researching. Although Dr. Google can be dangerous, have you researched your symptoms? Do you have gut feelings (pardon the pun) about your GI symptoms?
