New side effects of medications for Migraine

Sumatriptan for Migraine; after 7 years of taking sumatriptan for my migraines I am starting to get really restricted chest tightness, difficult voiding (hard to put a catheter in), has anyone had the same problem? Also I started to have a monthly injection (don’t have the name) about a year ago which changed my migraines from twenty a month to 6 or 7.

After 2 episodes of sumatriptan I had extreme chest tightness and horrible feeling of dying. I never tried it, or any other triptan, again.

No, my throat is closing up, my I have 35 years of scarring of my spine (I am fused from S-1 to first T level). Need catheters to pee, and digestive problems and now I was told I need hearing aids! I still volunteer three days a week at my Sheriff’s office doing computer forensic for our county and a neighboring county. Have travel twice to Thailand in the past year to help them fight child trafficking (as a volunteer for the OUR). I am trying very hard to still give back but it is getting harder. Oh I just turned 65!

How amazing that you volunteer like you do. Good for you! Volunteering is such a wonderful dose of healthy medicine and distraction. Have you thought about scaling back on volunteering? How might you stay involved but have it be more towards your present abilities?
