Hi everyone for me I was diagnosed type 2 in july 2021 and I started the Mediterranean diet which is my plan of eating and in the first month I released almost 30 pounds but after getting my covid shot I ended up getting sick with the flu and gained some of it back due to water retention and dehydration. I believe the reason it worked for me is it kept from me snacking all the time because I was no longer hungry all the time. my sugars started going down but they went back up while I have been sick though.

I was Just diagnosed about 2 weeks ago with Type 2 diabetes, Nov ‘22, after being very ill for 2 weeks. I’ve lost 15 pounds.
The doctors believe Covid brought mine on, and I’ve yet to find a diet that would work with my Lactose Allergy ( not intolerance). No dietician advice yet. I don’t know what to buy and I’m scared to eat because of the pains In my stomach. Keeping to soft bland foods.

How could I find the diet you described?

I am to start the Type 2 Ozempic shots in a couple of weeks, when the doctor is available.
I do hope you start feeling better and get your sugars back in range for you.
