Halotherapy
I recently joined a wellness spa which offers "halotherapy". This involves sitting in an enclosed booth as aerosolized salt is introduced. The duration of exposure is 15 minutes. The salt is NaCl. The claim is that this is good for both skin and lungs.
Does anyone have any thoughts?

@cfbauer Hello, we have had a few discussions on Connect about Halotherapy for lung conditions - the evidence there is encouraging but not yet fully researched.
But I hadn't heard about skin, so I did a quick look. Here is a recent article from WebMD: https://www.webmd.com/balance/what-is-halotherapy
And the take on it by Cleveland Clinic: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/salt-cave-benefits/
It looks like the answer is "It may help, probably won't hurt, but scientific evidence is in short supply." As always, be careful if you have high blood pressure, heart disease, lung problems or take medications.
Have you tried it yet?
Sue
Thank you for your input. I have tried it before but probably with not enough regularity to see or notice any difference.
