I also rec'd this diagnosis thru an MRI this month. The MRI was a follow up to determine if a colloid cyst had grown and was causing my headaches and neck pain. The cyst was previously found by cat scan. Like others here I was also told it was nothing of concern. Interestingly the cyst doesn't even show on the MRI. I am already being treated by a neurologist for essential tremor. Plan to research further and discuss with him. FYI I am female and have had weight problem at times in my life but certainly not obese.

Hi @mineolap2, welcome to Connect.
What are the next steps for you to get relief from the headaches and neck pain?

Due to vision issues my opthomologist ordered several vision tests. Heard today the results were abnormal and I'm being referred to a neuro opthomologist. Findings said "suspicious for process affecting the optic chasm". Not sure what it means but hope to get appt soon.

mineolap2 - While it's never great to hear that test results are abnormal, at least you have something to investigate and hopefully this will lead to solutions. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Hi, I have been having issues with dizziness/vertigo, headaches, vision issues, neck pain, balance issues, and numbness in my hands and feet. I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos thyroiditus and was just diagnosed with a colloid cyst of the 3rd ventricular by CT Scan. They ordered an MRI and also found a partially empty sella. My endocrinologist just ordered hormone test and my prolactin is high and I also am producing breast milk. I’m 45 and had my cervix and uterus removed at the age of 28 because of a severe case of adnomyosis. My human growth hormone is low and I’m waiting on the rest of the results to come in right now. My daughter was diagnosed with a pituitary adenoma when she was 8 and I am now wondering if this is somehow hereditary? My grandmother had severe osteoporosis and scoliosis and my mother had systemic and discoid lupus. My mother died of a heart attack at 41 and my grandmother died at 61 of what they think was bone cancer. I can’t help but wonder if this is all related somehow? Any info would be so helpful! Thank you
