Three years ago, I had endured the wild ride of Acute Myeloid Leukemia with all its challenges and was just a couple weeks from getting my bone marrow transplant to keep me in remission! With the help of my team at Mayo-Rochester and my still anonymous stem cell donor giving me a dose of his immune system, I’m alive and thriving. I’m a cancer survivor! 💙 💚
Congratulations on surviving! I am a 2x breast cancer survivor. Happy and blessed to be alive!
We realize every day is a gift. ☺️
I am 1 year, 2 months, 7 days as a survivor of extensive stage Neuroendocrine cancer of unknown origin! Battling each day. Thank you for all the support from Mayo!
Hello, @elliwiemers, and congratulations on being a survivor of NETs of unknown origin! So glad that you posted.
As I see this is your first post on Connect, I would like to invite you to the Mayo Connect NET discussion group. Here is a link to those discussions, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/neuroendocrine-tumors-nets/.
As a survivor of three surgeries for NETs I can join you in this celebration of survivorship. As I've shared my journey with this group, I've learned so much from the experience of each member.
Will you join our group and share with others about your journey?
This is just what I needed right now. Last night I was told I have stage 4 Neuoendocrine cancer of unknown origin. I felt like I got hit with a baseball bat and was so shocked. This is the first post have found about this cancer with an unknown origin and it made me happy.
I am happy to have connected with you. I’ve never met anyone with the same either! Be strong. You’re in great hands at Mayo. ✝️💪🙏💕
I am being treated at RMCC in Colorado Springs. Did you mind me asking what stage you were at diagnosis? I do understand if you do not wish to share.
I was diagnosed with endometrioid adenocarcinoma Stage 1a FIGO Grade 1 in 2019. Recurrence in 2021. My surgery and treatment has been at Mayo Clinic. I’m a cancer survivor. I feel so supported here at Mayo Clinic Connect.
