Arthritis and CBD cream

Posted by cfbauer @cfbauer, Nov 7, 2022

I have worked with my hands my whole life and now am experiencing pain in both the left and right first c-mc joints and first mc-p joints.
Has anyone had success with CBD creams?

What is the problem of taking Tramadol, Is it too strong for moderate pain?

REPLY

Tramadol is an addictive narcotic and, in my opinion, excessive for the degree of pain I have.
I have no worries about addiction and feel something more benign (like cbd cream) might be a better choice.

I agree - Tramadol is overkill for moderate pain. My hands, wrists & thumbs are pretty well worn out, but I still do a lot of art, fiber & craft work, so I use them a lot.
I tried CBD cream, and it helped. I find better relief from Diclofenac (aka Voltaren) cream or gel. It is an NSAID, but applied just to the painful areas. I like to rub it in to my hands and wrists, sometimes with an anti-inflammatory essential oil blend, then pull on a pair of compression gloves. They help the cream soak in and provide warmth & mild support. The finger tips are open.
Have you tried compression gloves to ease the discomfort?

Both my husband have had good results with CBD cream. You need to make sure it’s a reliable company. I could get out of bed with knee pain, walk to the kitchen and apply the cream, and by the time I got back in bed pain was going away. (Not an advertisement.) We used CTFO -Changing The Future Outcome. The last time I ordered the cream cost about $50.00. My husband got the medical marijuana card and had really good results with that. I was always so against that, but it his pain was to the point I would have met a dealer to get him relief. And the chocolate marijuana bars were less expensive. Good luck.

yes, I use it all the time on my feet and knee.

All great suggestions and worth a try. I now have some great options. Most of all I don't want to be on anything like tramadol. Also avoiding tylenol and ibuprofen use over the long haul avoids their potential side effects.

I have good results on hands that are quite arthritic… I use a CBD salve.

I also have found CBD cream to be very helpful when I apply it to my knees and shoulders. I have to take tylenol in order to function but the side effects of Tramadol and Tylenol #3 are too severe. I am now unable to get in and out of the bath tub and I really miss being able to soak in epsom salts. Has anyone purchased one of these "walk in tubs" that they are very happy with ? My shoulders are my most painful body part and it appears that the tubs are not deep enough to cover my shoulders. It was so soothing for me to lie down in the tub of warm water and epsom salts. Thank you,
Good Luck to all
