I have the same problem and my cardiologist doesn’t seem sure what to do. I would love a definitive answer.

I have had afib for fifty years and was diagnosed last year for pv. Cardiologists and hematologists agree to a px of eloquis as pv thickens the blood increasing risk of stroke or heart attack. A blood thinner counters that according to the mds I’ve seen. jjd

I was just diagnosed with afib a second time in about 2 years. My hematologist actually caught it during a follow up visit for PV. Both he and my cardiologist agree with the use of Eloquis along with Hydrea and aspirin. I trust they know what they are doing.
