No, my surgeon (Mayo) did a trans-perineal biopsy to find the cancer (which he estimated was 30-40% of my prostate), & recommended surgery ASAP (which he did the old fashion way). He was unable to preserve sexual function (ED) but was able to avoid incontinence (thank goodness). After the surgery they checked nearby lymph nodes & found cancer cells (metastasis). Started ADT & antiandrogen therapy.
Still fighting the battle 11 years later. Scheduled for a bilateral Orchidectomy Wednesday. Tired of getting the ADT injections!
Thanks for the “well-wishes” !! Hope your fight with it is successful! Blessings!

Many thanks for your kind wishes. May god bless you always with long life & good health

11 years. Wow! i would welcome that for the love of those that need me and for whatever is left for me to do in this life.
i have a bilateral Orchiectomy (with implant replacements) scheduled for next week at Mayo.
My PCa has metastasized to my left iliac and right femur. There is a question regarding pulmonary prostatic metastasis that will get answered tomorrow following lung biopsy.
If no pulmonary prostatic metastasis then it's radiation and antiadrogen therapy.

It is evidently clear that we are all dealing with unique manifestations of PCa and responses to treatments/therapies. While we may share some commonalities in the above we all share one thing; "we are not fully in control of our journey or our outcome".

Never loose sight of your blessings and be grateful for each and every one of them.
Prayers and well wishes for all.
