Thanks Sue,

Keeping your leg muscles strong is critical to keeping your new knees (or hips) as new as possible. The good news is that, for most people, the knees feel so good that exercise is a joy rather than a chore. I'm doing more than I ever thought possible and I'm 68 y/o.

Joe

I just talked to a good friend today - 5 weeks after surgery in Nebraska, she is ready to head for the winter in Texas next week. Said she is up to walking 1/2 mile twice a day in addition to her exercises. She reported that her worst enemy now is late afternoon fatigue, but she worked all summer to get ready for surgery and it really helped. By the way, she is closer to 80 than 70, and we call her our "Energizer Bunny"
