IGA Kidney disease new drug Tarpeyo
I have stage 3 IGA kidney disease and will start taking a new drug that is supposed to drive it into remission: Tarpeyo. It is very expensive, about $14K per month and the average person takes it about 8 months. It is a steroid that will suppress my immune system, preventing it from attacking my kidneys the way it is doing now. I will post here the affects the drug has on me over the next months.

That's great that you're able to start treatment with Tarpeyo (budesonide).
For others who are not yet familiar with this drug, in late 2021 the FDA granted accelerated approval for Tarpeyo (budesonide) delayed release capsules to reduce proteinuria (increased protein levels in the urine) in adults with primary immunoglobulin A (IgA) nephropathy at risk of rapid disease progression.
