How do you manage daily life with IBS-D?

I will be looking into the epi. I was just trying g to give my body a chance to reset itself after having a diseased gallbladder and removal 41/2 Months ago. I had a Giant Schnauzer that had chronic diarrhea and after many vet visits and finally taking her through the Vets at UCD we found she had EPI. She also had B12 deficiency. I had to put digestive enzymes in her food 30 mind. before eating and a B12 injection once a week. I remember the miraculous turn around in her life. That was 30 years ago! I didn’t even think about humans getting it until several years ago. Thank you for answering those questions. Since gallbladder removal the major difference in my poop is its now brown instead of drk gol or mustard color. If the rest doesn’t straighten up soon, Iam going to ask to be checked for EPI. I have always had IBS-D since I was in my 20's and used alot of Imodium without getting addicted to it. What a stupid thing to be accused of...obviously a very ignorant person. I will keep you in the loop as to what is happening.

My wife has had IBS for over 4 years. We would like any help to relief this debilitating disease. She has had both diarrhea and formed stools. We are almost completely home bound.

I have had IBS-D for many years, right now I am on buscopan for pain, and spasms, and Immodium to slow things down.I took 2 a couple of weeks ago, and it has not been too bad. Still able to go to the bathroom. Only once a day. The immodium slows the contractions down. I also eliminated chewing gum, carbonated drinks, and eat oatmeal 3 or 4x a week. Good luck.

diet, diet diet. May not cure it but will make it better. Nutritionists or dieticians can help with guidence. Probiotics, but good ones that are refrigerated ot store shelf.
