Posted by eileenb1022 @eileenb1022, Sep 30, 2022

Hi,
It has been suggested to me and i have talked to people who havegone gluten and dairy free that has helped their symptoms. justlooking for anyone here who has and interested if it has made a difference? if it has could you share some menu's or give me some ideas? and how long did it take for you to see improvement? i have some general ideas on what to buy but looking for more before i head out. its been suggested to me because i have hypothyroidism which until recently has been out of whack, hyperplasia with possibilityof autoimmune gastritis, possible sjorgens syndrome and maybe lichen sclorus. im waiting on specialists to confirm but i have to wait for appointments which is so hard. its kind of like starting fresh. in 15 months of being sick i have gotten little help so im traveling 3 hours to boston where i can get better help its just hard waiting for these appointments.i am seeing a naturpath dr in a few weeks never been to one so not sure what to expect but i think he is better than who previously i have seen. sorry to ramble just hoping someone here relates tome and can help me out. thank you!

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I can’t get to a good GI doctor until January, So I relate. I also went to a intergeative nutritionist. I am able to eat better, but continue to loose weight on this anti inflammatory diet. I am still not sure what is happening to my gut. Trying to turn this around. Good luck in Boston, they are awesome and will help you!

This is true....i was suprised in recent imaging for my neuro-endocrine cancer the ultrasound of my head and neck showed dark circles around surgical clips that remained in my neck after 3 neck disections. She said my body was reacting to the metals. I obtained autoimmune inflamatory disease post a Violent adverse reaction to a Tdapp vaccine....it also resulted in digestive issues, body wide inflamation, including skin changes, and neuropothies...i was diagnosed with neuro-endocrine cancer two months after the shot, a nodule developed in my thyroid, and in left neck....i have had 3 neck disections....so i deal with a lot of swelling and lymph fluid. For me it has been very helpful to eliminate any processed foods as possible, i do not do a lot of dairy, and try as much as possible to stick to an anti inflamatory diet...or include foods that have beneficial anti-inflamatory qualities....a big one is to eliminate as much sugar as possible...plant based, i eat a lot of sea-food, but one must be careful of murcury content....

It's been well documented that the foods we eat play a significant role in contributing or preventing dis-ease so changing from a bad to a better food can't hurt. When I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, I was given an anti-inflammatory food regime which eliminated all sugar, wheat, soy, gluten food products, and dairy. Everything else was in moderation but heavy on non-starchy vegetables and fruits. In about a year, I loss 60 pounds and my PMR symptoms went away. I contribute the change in how I feel and look to that diet. I have since reintroduced some wheat and soy in moderation but remained dairy-free. Now I am moving more in a modified vegetarian/Mediterranean direction.

I do believe so...I read some incidences online where people have had them removed. I will have to ask my surgeon about it....:)
