Hi Pam @flipflop52, Welcome to Connect. My neuropathy is idiopathic also and I have some numbness in the feet and legs but no pain. It is great to hear that you are still searching and hopefully you will find something that helps. There is no cure for neuropathy but there are many different treatments that provide some relief for most of the symptoms. Here are a couple of sites you might want to look at in your search to learn more about neuropathy and what others have found helpful.
-- Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy: https://www.foundationforpn.org/
-- Neuropathy Commons: https://neuropathycommons.org/
You mentioned you had breast cancer with chemo treatments. There is a discussion you may find helpful --- Chemo-induced Peripheral Neuropathy and Breast Cancer: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/neuropathy-11/
Were you trying to find an answer for a question when you found Connect?
To A. Marine 4220 - yes, weird feelings in toes, similar to you and at times, felt like someone had a pair of pliers and was pinching end of toes primary left foot. The odd sensations can be nerve racking. Those feelings have calmed down now that numbness has increased. That neuropathy card idea isn't a bad idea at all!
The best!

Good evening @flipflop52 and welcome to Connect. John has responded to your introductory post with some important resources. I also want to respond to your decision to check into CBD at your next appointment. I keep two topical balms developed by Papa and Barkley for my hands and feet. One is for acute pain, tingling, etc and it is a 1:3 CBD/THC compound dosage. The other is for more chronic pain and neuropathy irritants and it is a 3:1 CBD/THC compound.
This company has been my supplier for years. Their site is quite informative and they respond well to customer issues. Let me know if you have questions or concerns. http://www.papaandbarkley.com
May you be free of suffering and the causes of suffering.

Has anyone ever tried a weighted blanket yet for it? They seem to work for me.
My feet are intermittently freezing cold or burning hot. At night I use a ‘Foot of the Bed’ heating pad from Cozy Winters online. It’s long enough to cover almost half of the foot of the bed so I can move my feet around and it stays warm for about six hours so I can sleep most of the night. Of course it doesn’t last forever so I always keep an extra one on hand in case it goes out in the middle of the night. It has a wonderfully long cord with control that reaches up to my pillow. It is the first thing I pack if I’m going to be gone overnight. It’s about $55 and worth every penny! Wishing you warm feet at night… Hope this helps bcool123
Don’t wear The rock dove slippers to bed but I do use a ‘Foot of Bed’ heating pad from Cozy Winters online. It’s long Enough to go across almost half of the bed so I Can move around. It has a long cord and the adjustable control reaches up to pillow. Six hour auto shut off allows me to keep feet warm most of the night. About $55 but I couldn’t sleep without it so worth every penny. During the winter with all night, every night use it lasted 3-4 months. I now keep an extra on hand in case it goes out middle of the night. Wishing you warm feet, Bcool123
Hi to all who suffer with neuropathy and freezing cold feet
I have tried about 50 different slippers, and they all went back. I recently found some Rock Dove slippers on Amazon, bottoms are just thin rubber. They feel great, I wear t hem all day, and all night and they bless me by keeping my feet warm at night!!
For that reason, for me, they are miracle shoes!!
Rock Dove Fuzzy Closed Back indoor slipper, about $20 on Amazon.
Blessings to all. ps I ordered a size larger.
I like heat seeker brand socks in warm slipper even in summer. We have tile floors so it’s cold!
Great advice. I am always looking for socks, shoes, and pants to keep my feet and shins warm! Pain is awful when cold. Thanks for the recommendations!
Treated for thyroidism. Numbers remain in range.
