Hello @jostermann, welcome to Connect. Thank you for joining us. I'm sorry your wife is experiencing these annoying vibrations. Regardless of age, these neurological symptoms are unwanted! At 32 years old, I can only imagine she is scratching her head wondering why, and ready to move on with her athletic life without disruption.
The good news is that these symptoms may very well dissipate or become better regulated. I'm thrilled that you are watching Dr. Sletten's video with your wife. You'll gain a better understanding of the central nervous and peripheral sensory systems. Anxiety can be an instigator to the CNS so yes, it can be a contributing factor but most likely not the cause. I'm no expert, just have my own experiences to go on and what I've learned from Dr. Sletten at Mayo's Pain Rehab Center.
Do you mind sharing more about your wife's situation? Has she had COVID? Has she been seen by a neurologist? If so, what tests have been done?
@jostermann I see that you wished to post the link to Dr. Sletten's video. You will be able to add URLs to your posts in a few days. There is a brief period where new members can't post links. We do this to deter spammers and keep the community safe. Allow me to post it for you.
I think @rwinney would agree wholeheartedly with your statement "helpful to hear him not just relegate it to psychosomatic issues". She may have additional videos or information to share with you since she attended Dr. Sletten's 3-week program at Mayo Clinic in Florida, and can answer any questions you might be exploring.
