I'm wondering, was Oxybutynin working the same or better than Myrbetriq? If so why not stay on Oxybutynin--especially if it is cheaper. Also wonder if it allows you only a minute or two delay in going to the bathroom, wouldn't our goal be more than that? I checked with my insurance and found that the Myrbetrig would be $50 a month. Am checking into Gemtesa but it is not covered at all. Can't imagine how much it would be. Just trying to make the right decision.

Good evening @fdixon63 ...... thanks for your posts and discussion with @rfherald. Very helpful regarding Myrbetriq. Just thought I would mention that my Primary took me off oxybutynin because recent research indicated that it contributed to dementia in seniors.

I am happy with Myrbetriq except for the $$$$$$.

Oxybutynin worked right away but it did not work as well. I only had a little more time between "urge" and "going," with Oxybutynin and I frequently couldn't hold it back. Myrbetriq allows more time to delay going, as there is no leakage, but it takes a while for it to take full effect. My costs for Myrbetriq through insurance is similar to yours, but at Costco the cost without insurance is $500 per month Oxybutynin is $12. Costco does not carry Gemtesa. Through my insurance company Myrbetriq and Gemtesa are similarly priced.
