Anyone have autonomic and sensory sfn develop at the same time ?
I had brain fog, high heart rate, headaches, lightheadedness, burning feet, swollen feet and weak painful legs all within a month, many overlapping. I thought these symptoms took longer to develop ?

Hi @gbny1224, I'm sorry to hear you still haven't found any relief for the burning in the feet. In your first post back in April you mentioned burning feet and ordering nicotinamide riboside. I'm not sure if you are still taking it but some of your symptoms are mentioned as a possible side effect felt by some people.
"Some people have reported mild to moderate side effects, such as nausea, fatigue, headaches, diarrhea, stomach discomfort and indigestion"

Are you still taking the supplement? Are you on any other medications for the neuropathy?
No just tried it a couple months .I don't take anything except protocol sups. My neuropathy is odd it's mild yet all over in a short period of time also when I lay down the leg pain and burning feet go away. I've had an rh factor of 146 hard to prove but still working on getting this metal replaced in hip think I'm cranking out auto antibodies to the small amount of Ni in one component. I tested 22.7 for Ni in an ltt blood test normal is 4 or less .
I use a lidocaine 4% gel on my feet for pain. It's about 7$ at Walgreens. Johnmacc
I had autonomic symptoms and neuropathy develop over a period of a month a few years ago. I was hospitalized for 10 days. Lesions were found on my spine. Numerous tests were done to determine the cause of these lesions but all came up negative. The Autonomic issues I have are orthostatic hypotension, SIADH, neurogenic bowel and bladder. I think I had peripheral neuropathy as I could barely walk. I am now able to walk easily but have pins and needles and burning in my feet and legs. Wondering what has helped others with the symptoms I have
Welcome @marylin, It must have been difficult for you spending 10 days in the hospital and having all the tests come back negative when you were trying to get some answers. I'm glad to hear you are able to walk now but I know the burning and the pins and needles in your feet and legs must make it more difficult for you. Are you currently on any medications for the peripheral neuropathy?
Did they say why they may have ruled out Multiple Sclerosis?

Since myelin coats the nerve fibers that travel through both the brain and the spinal cord, demyelination creates lesions in both areas. This means that if someone with MS has brain lesions, they are also likely to have spinal lesions as well. Spinal cord lesions are common in MS.
THEN THIS:
Multiple sclerosis (MS) causes damage, called lesions, to parts of the central nervous system. MS is a neurological disease. It causes the immune system to attack and destroy myelin — protective fatty tissue that surrounds nerve cells. This process, called demyelination, forms lesions in areas of the central nervous system, including parts of the brain and spinal cord.
This article reviews the link between multiple sclerosis and spinal lesions.

Isnt MS non symmetric occurs mostly on only one side ? It's it rare for a lesion to appear perfectly symetricaly on both sides of the spine ? I thought i had ms or a tumor strange headaches right in the middle of my head. When my feet started burning equally on both sides at mostly the same time I figured it wasn't ms but sfn. Also nothing seen on cat scan of my brain.
Thanks for info. I think MS was ruled out. Not sure why. Had spinal taps & blood work in addition to MRIs. There were no lesions on the brain. Lesions on spinal cord were gone after 4 months
