What is the average age of the gentlemen on here?

I'm now 79. PSA started rising in 2015-2016. Diagnosed with PC, Gleason 6, in early 2018. After lots of consultations, landed at Georgetown U. Hospital, who recommended Cyberknife radiation, but said I could wait. Earlier this year, with PSA going up after being relatively stable for a couple of years, we decided to go ahead. Drs. recommended adding Orgovyx hormone therapy which they said is now superior to Lupron, which they didn't want to recommend 4 years earlier. Started six months of hormone therapy in March, and had five sessions of Cyberknife in July. PSA and Testosterone are now negligible. The waiting was worth it, because a new therapy became available.

When I was 71 my psa was 2.2. At 72 it was 2.8 and at 73 it was 3.9. At that point my GP said I don't like the trend. I said but it's in normal range. He didn't like the trend. So, 3 months later I had a biopsy. PSA was 4.9 by then. I had 4 + 4 Gleason result. One month later I was at Mayo in Phoenix getting ready for Proton Beam Therapy. PSA was now 6.1, still not real high. My Mayo doctor started Lupron to slow the progress of the cancer and shrink the prostrate for radiation treatment. After 28 doses and 18 months of Lupron, I'm now 77 with negligible PSA and no more side effects from Lupron.
By the way, my brother was diagnosed with prostate cancer at age 79 with 4+3 Gleason. His doctor wanted to stop testing PSA at age 75, but he asked to continue testing because another brother and I had it. I heard one report from some urologists who said when they stopped testing at age 75, they started to get more severe cases. Catch it early.

Age 52. Diagnosed in late 2019. PSA was 8.3 with a Gleason score of 3+3. Chose to have robotic assisted radical prostatectomy in April 2020 at Mayo in Rochester, MN. PSA had jumped to 9.6 with a Gleason score of 4+3 at the time of surgery. PSA remained undetectable until Feb 2022 when it started climbing again. Another check scheduled for earl November. Not sure yet on next steps if it continues to climb. Will cross that bridge if it continues to climb.

I am 76 and was diagnosed at 72. Had RP, 44 photon radiation treatments, and two years of Lupron injections. It spread to my lymph nodes. I see a lot of doctors.

Just turned 83. Gleason was 4+5 with PSA = 17. Just completed 26 radiation treatments, plus Lupron, plus Abiraterone/Prednisone. Feeling a little tired, and hot flashes, but generally I feel very fortunate that I can still be very, very active with walking, biking, swimming, golf.... and eating very well.

About to turn 72.
My PSA was slowly climbing almost every year of my 60's.
At 68 did a test that suggested low genetic probability of getting Prostate Cancer.
At ~69 my PSA was up to 7.6, but I now know that because I was on Finasteride that number should have been doubled.
08/2019 got a multi-parametric prostate MRI which showed an anterior prostate tumor <anterior tumors are not typically detected with DRE.
11/2019 had an 11 core fusion guided (MRI and sonogram) biopsy at Mayo Clinic Rochester . Gleason score 7+3
02/2020 I had five Proton Beam Treatment spread over two weeks.
02/2020 started four month ADT treatment using Lupron.
PSA's from mid 2020 to current less than .1 - one blip when a different lab was used.

I believe it will be 5 treatment sessions over a 10 day period. I will post more after the treatments are finished sometime in November 2022.
