Hi everyone… I’ve had my right hand pointer finger fused with a screw. ( may 2022) Pain is gone and I’m happy that I did it. Haven’t had any issues with it being fused. If anyone has questions feel free to ask

What does your finger look like after healing? Did the surgery make it look normal? And what kind of mobility do you have?
Mine is my middle finger. I’m going to have the joint fused at the top but I want to know do they removed all enlarged area around the knuckle when they fuse it.
Hi. Thank you for sharing. My index finger last digit is swollen and crooked. Was yours the same before you did the fusion? I make jewelry and use my fingers. Do you think I would be able to use the finger properly for this or would it be stiff and useless for intricate function? It is painful and deformed now and uncomfortable to bend and hard to use for work now but I’m worried that the loss if motion might be worse Do you miss that it no longer bends?

hello. I have osteoarthritis in my middle finger. It feels okay ,as long as, I have a brace. My surgeon wants to fuse the middle joint on my right hand. I am an art teacher, and trying to decide what to do. I am taking Melexican in hopes it will help.
