Tinnitus has many causes. Tinnitus does not come from nowhere. Try to find the cause.
Here are some ideas as to CAUSES of TINNITUS to get you started on your job as detective for your tinnitus.
1. Your Age - 2. Food Allergy - 3. Chemical allery - 4. Fatigue - 5. Injury - 6. Environment

1. your age - 13 is sensitive for young people and even if you are very happy, there is often depression due to the body changes putting your body to hard work "coming of age".

My hearing declined when my Dad died - I got the health food herbal anti-depressant, Saint John's Wort and it helped!

I also looked at my life and found some things I could do to be happier, even charming. Even if you are already charming, if your system is doing odd things, something is "off" and so you might need to WORK to be easier company for people without crashing too much. IF the things you can do yourself do not work, ask your doctor about what they call "Adolescent grief/shock depression" giving hearing issues.

2. Food allergy - sugar and a few others CAN cause tinnitus or mske it worse - google it. They say no foods CAUSE tinnitus exactly, but CAN cause it. The word here is "allergy" which happens and if you have an allergy, even if the food does NOT CAUSE tinnitus, it WILL cause it if you are allergic to it and tend to get tinnitus. DO THIS: try eliminating one food that might be the problem - just one - for a month if you can. And drink more water - it helps everything.

3. Chemical allergy - makejup, perfume, medicines , soaps and other cleaning products, laundry products.....e a detective and see what happens - YOU can do it. Birth control and other feminine issues can cause tinnitus, especially tampons. Aspirin can cause tinnitus and things like too much of one food or vitamin.

4. Fatigue - Teens are the worst for expecting their general health to be fine even when they trash themselves with too much junk food, too much running around and not enough SLEEP and not enough water. Get a grip on this and see things improve - you should find that your issues - all of them are much better with being more responsible.

5. Injury - did you bump your head or neck or jaw? Any of these can impact your heaing. "Get your head examined" used to ge a joke but not any more. Middle Ear issues happen a LOT in the teens but rest, exercise, good diet and happy activity and time growing up a bit more often fixes the issue. In fact, if tapping the knee makes your foot come up, it miaght be an injury in a part of the body far away from the ear, so have fun trying out exercises to see if sitting up straight in your chair, YOGA etc., help

6 . Environment - new classroom, noisy classroom, tense classroom environment, tough teacher, tough study focus - trouble at home - all these can cause tinnitus.

OK? Tinnitus is weird because it seems to just happen and then often just goes away, without every knowing what caused it. SMILE 😀 helps everything

Hi, thanks for your reply.
My tinnitus is due to hearing loss
1. The same lifestyle as other kids when I was 13, no depression, no unhappiness, and nothing else。I don't know why there is tinnitus, but I wake up on a normal morning with a humming noise in my ears。I thought it was a cold at the time, so I went to the clinic and prescribed some medicines for the cold. But there was no improvement after four days of eating, so I went to the hospital for a corresponding examination. The tests showed hearing loss and my symptom was noise in my ears.
2.I don't actually have any history of food allergies. No other classmates had a history of tinnitus during my student days。We eat and live at the school, we are all together.
3.During my school days, we hardly ever used makeup.
4.Yes, in my student days we ate very unsanitary, we would eat a lot of junk food, and the food health environment was worrying.
5.Before my tinnitus, I had no discomfort, no head trauma, no bumps, nothing else.
Tinnitus is so annoying,The medical conditions in our local area are not good, which may be the reason why it was not diagnosed immediately at that time.

We are sure that many things are different in your part of the world.

You say that your doctors told you that the tinnitus was a result of hearing loss.

You also say that they told you that you didn't need hearing aids. If at all possible, I encourage you to find someone who will provide you with the chance to try hearing aids. They may help mask your tinnitus.

Tinnitus is caused by so many things. Stress may be one of them. If you are agitated, frustrated and terribly bothered by this to the point of being depressed, you are also stressed. Ironically tinnitus can cause stress just as stress can cause tinnitus.

I'm sorry you cannot view the video. Another resource that might help you is the website of The Hearing Health Foundation. http://www.hhf.org They are doing quite a bit of research on tinnitus. Their magazine, which is available online or by subscription is worth looking at. The most recent magazine; Summer 2022, has an article about tinnitus.

I have Meniere’s Disease for more than 40 years, resulting in accumulative severe hearing loss (sensorineural) now. I have tinnitus all the time which I’ve gotten used to. I just ignore it. I’ve consulted numerous specialists, among which an acupuncturist helped me a lot. This acupuncturist had helped many hearing-impaired children while in China (later emigrated to Canada). Hope you can find a good one in your region too!

Wow that was nice to see your thoughtful comments.

Sing...I know it sounds silly, but sometimes tinnitus can be charmed away by YOU making more and nicer noise....try it. 😀 Let me know if it helps.

Tinnitus is not annoying - as you get older, it's maddening and does damage to your day.
You are right to try to get it fixed.
I am very sorry to hear that the medical options are not great where you are,

But then you must:
Go online and you will find a free doctor to do allergy tests to see if there is the thing.
They LOVE to help people from places with poor care.

God bless
I am here

God bless.

Yes, the doctor told me that the tinnitus is caused by the loss of the high-pitched part of hearing
It is because my hearing does not affect daily communication at present, so the doctor does not recommend matching hearing aids.
It is suggested that I try to forget about it and let me spend some time in my life, such as traveling, sports and listening to music.
During my school days, there was no pressure
Recently, because the volume of tinnitus has increased, I have some anxiety, and I don't know how to deal with it.
This is what worries me
I would like to ask how can I improve my sleep?
How to try to relieve anxiety?

I am very happy to be able to communicate with everyone in this community and get help from everyone.
Because it's unthinkable in my hometown,I've been dealing with him on my own for 25 years, and no one can understand how I feel。

In fact I was tormented by tinnitus for a long time
If you can, can you try to help me contact this acupuncturist, I would also like some help.
Because the doctor on our side didn't recommend doing acupuncture, I didn't know anything about it.
Thank you very much
Most sincere regards

@wangning You may want to see if changing your diet helps with the tinnitus. Keep track of what you are eating and note any changes to the tinnitus.

Hello
The tinnitus has been stable for the 13 years I have been ill with no change。
But in May of this year, the left ear got heavier
Because the medical conditions here are not good
Many doctors here come to study at the University of Michigan Medical School.
I envy you in Michigan, with great universities and great hospitals.
It's easy for you, but cherished for me.

It sounds like you have only seen or have had access to one doctor. Are there other doctors you might consult? I understand it is different in your country than it is in the USA.

Hearing aids are often fit to high frequency hearing loss.

Are you familiar with stress management? Breathing exercises? They can be very helpful in managing the anxiety you say you have.

There is a great deal of information on a technique called 'Benson's Breathing Relaxation' ' as it relates to sleep, anxiety, pain relief, etc. Perhaps you can find information on that technique. Google has a great deal, but it's too much to provide a link that makes sense for you.
