4 days after my 2nd Shingrix vaccination, I suddenly developed intense peripheral neuropathy in both feet...for the first time in my life...anyone else?

How bad is your neuropathy? The doctor said mine won’t go away.
There is no predicting about whether mine will worsen of subside. How old are you? What’s other issues do you have going on?
Hi,
I developed nerve pain in an injured foot within hours after getting Shingrix vaccine along with Tinnitus. Of course Kaiser won’t do anything about it or admit it came
from the vaccine. I will not be getting a second dose. I am looking into a lawsuit.
Hi @indysay68, Welcome to Connect. Sorry to hear you developed nerve pain in your foot after receiving the Shingrix vaccine. You mentioned the foot was injured before you received the vaccine. Do you mind sharing a little more about the type of injury to the foot and any treatment or procedure that followed the injury?
@joannerhodes was it permanent to date? i already have PN of feet and that makes me more susceptible to further. I do not want to make it worse as may not be able to walk if it gets worse. thks
Welcome @centeron5, I'm not sure @joannerhodes is still following Connect as the members last post was over a year ago. I'm just one person but I've had both COVID vaccines and the 2 boosters along with the flu vaccine and Shingrix vaccine and it did not make my idiopathic small fiber PN any worse. I've had neuropathy for over 20 years but just the numbness and some tingling with no pain.
Have you discussed the pros and cons with your doctor?
I received my second Shingrix shot on May 5th 2022. Within a week I started having numbness, burning pain and pins and needles feeling in both of my legs. I also experience whole body tremors that wake me up quite often as well as full body vibration. I have a hard time sleeping. I also experience muscle weakness in my arms and legs. I have been like this for several months now. I shake a lot just trying to take care of my son and home. Unfortunately I have a Dr who after 3+ months and several appointments refused to do any testing to find out what is wrong. I have been to urgent cares and er with no answers. They always told me to talk to my Dr.
I have had blood work done several times and it’s always perfect. I am not diabetic. I told my Dr my symptoms every time I saw him. He never took me seriously. I am now in the process of finding a new Dr. I am a single older Mom of an 8 year old son and what happened after getting the shingles vaccine is debilitating. I am livid that I went from normal to this and May never be normal again. I now wish I had known about this horrible side effect. I would rather get shingles than what is happening to me now. I trusted my Dr when he said to get the shingles vaccine when I turned 50. I am the first person to advocate for vaccines. I have lost trust now. This vaccine is dangerous and debilitating. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. I can’t do the things I love to do anymore. I highly regret getting this vaccine.
I received my doses from a local rite aid. No one explained these worst case side effects. I feel hopeless.
You need to see a neurologist right away. Shame on your doctor for not referring you to a neurologist.
Welcome @jengarcia71, I am so sorry to hear about your adverse reaction to the Shingrix vaccine. I'm also concerned that your doctor is ignoring you which is unacceptable. I would also be looking for a new doctor if it were me and would seek an appointment with a neurologist if possible.
I would also report the side effects to VAERS: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/ensuringsafety/monitoring/vaers/reportingaes.html
Have you reported the Shingrix side effects to VAERS?
Hi, thank you. At my insistence at my last appointment with him, he finally gave in and gave me a referral to a neurologist. My appointment isn’t until October 11th. However, this neurologist has nothing but really bad reviews. I am switching Drs and hoping to be able to see a neurologist at Loma Linda Hospital instead.
