My ophthalmologist prescribed Preservision AREDS2. The first time I took it I had neurologic side effects (have tremor, tiredness and weakness) and stopped taking it after a couple of days. The second time I tried to take it I took it for several days and all my neurologic problems increased and I felt terrible. I stopped taking it and will not take it again.

Thank you for your input on AREDS2.... Such a conundrum! I hope more folks will weigh in as time progresses and we find our own solutions to be the best for each of us.

I have been taking AREDS since Oct 2022. In Dec 2022 I developed tremors. It took a while to get back to my Dr. who ordered blood work to determine if I had any deficiencies that might cause tremors. I had a high level of folate- 17 was the normal high and my level was 23. After I saw your post I stopped AREDS. The tremors improved but aren’t gone. Also, muscle weakness. I see a neurologist in March.

I've been taking Preservision AREDS2 for a few months (only one at night) and started having tremors during the night. My cardiologist put me on a heart monitor for 30 days. I didn't think it was palpitations as it felt like shaking inside. I have just recently seen a couple of web sites where people have said they are having these tremors related to these eye vitamins, so I stopped taking them a couple of days ago. I have been feeling absolutely horrible. I already feel better but not quite back to normal, after just the couple of days without them. I'm hoping that it will be better within a few more days of not taking them. I felt anxious and very fatigued as they were waking me up several times during the night. I will not take these eye vitamins again. I've tried a couple of times with different ones and I just can't take them.
