Please help me. My world is falling apart.
I'm 25 years old. My sister is 18. My mom went into the hospital last week because she had stomach pain and they initially said constipation. She had 0 other symptoms apart from that pain in her stomach, and blood results and everything else came back fine. The next two doctors she went to said it was probably pc, and that there was no cure as the mass looks big and they said they see two spots on her liver I think. We are still awaiting the 100% results but the doctors said that it is 98% the case. My family is family apart, please tell me there is something we can do, though she said she won't be doing chemo. I need help. I can't lose her.

would you please let us know your mom's test results? I am in the same boat like you: my mom has no symptoms but the MRI MCRP showed a mass on her pancreas. I took her to the hospital because she had a stroke 3 weeks ago and last Sunday she felt extreme fatigue.
We are nervously waiting for the biopsy.
@needhelp123 i know how you feel and unfortunately for us my mom was confirmed PC. We are still numb from the news. Wish you and your family the best as I know it’s such a difficult situation.
Has anyone tried natural remedies and if so, what is working?
Pancreatic cyst on the neck of my pancrease
This what happened to my sister in law went to hospital a few months ago for abdomen pain he said leukocytes in urine probably bladder infection she showed him lympnode swollen at her clavicle and he said take that up with family doctor and gave her antibiotics.
Now she is in stage 4 metastasized to her liver big mass behind her stomach in operable. She has 6 year and 9 year old waiting for their mom to come home.
She is in excruciating pain needs morphine drip every 2 hours. I feel hospitals here in Canada are so slow with finding the problem that now it’s spread to other organs. So not fair.
So sorry to learn about your sister-in-law, but it's not necessarily your health system. PC is rare, about 3.2% of all cancers. Plus, symptoms are very vague and it is not uncommon to not have any symptoms until it has spread to other organs. Early diagnosis often happens from a scan looking for something else. There are major efforts in play to find clues to early detection. PanCAN organization has lots of info regarding this problem.
I was diagnosed in the exact same condition as your mom. I am so sorry for what you're going through. I've been on chemotherapy for 14 months. The cancer has not spread, none of my liver tumors have grown and the large pancreatic tumor has shrunk considerably. My CA19 numbers have gone down steadily and are now at 91. I know chemo is scary and I won't lie it is not a picnic but I have had 14 incredible months with my family, have spent and enjoyed so much precious time with my grandchildren. Your mom's diagnosis is a blessing and a curse. I know it's hard to see the blessings but they are there. Try to get your mom to consider the chemo. I was very allergic to the first type but have been receiving my current chemo for a year now. The chemo helps the pain as it shrinks the tumor. I feel so blessed to only feel sick a day or two each week. There are medications that help with the symptoms. It is not easy and it is not something any of us plan for. But there is life to be lived. I would be happy to talk to your mom if she has any questions. Treatment was a good decision for me and my family. Your family will be in my prayers.
My treatment is not at a cancer specific facility like mayo, Sloan, etc. I do have a team of doctors directing my treatment and am confident that they are well informed about best and new treatments and follow the advice and guidelines from those major cancer centers. Not everyone has an insurance plan that affords them the ability to choose and most cannot pay for cancer treatment out of pocket. Use your best judgment, natural instincts and common sense. If you are a Christian pray and you will be guided and comforted.
Sending prayers your way
